WCC Sim Golf
Privacy
This app is a golf league's scoreboard. There is nothing to sign into and it asks you for nothing. Here is exactly what is and isn't collected.
Last updated September 25, 2026
The short version
- No accounts. No sign-in. No name, email or phone number is asked for.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking you across other apps or websites.
- Nothing is sold, rented or shared for marketing.
- The one thing stored about your phone is a notification token — and only if you switch notifications on yourself.
If you turn on notifications
Notifications are off until you go to Menu → Notifications and turn them on. Doing that registers this phone with the league so it can be sent a message. What gets stored is:
- the notification token Apple or Google issues for this app on this phone
- whether it is an iPhone or an Android phone, and which version of the app it is running
- which notifications you asked for — round results, handicap previews
- when the phone registered, and when it was last seen
None of it is attached to a name, an email address or a league player. It cannot be looked at and traced to a person.
Turning notifications off in the phone’s own settings stops anything further being sent. The record is deleted when Apple or Google reports the token is no longer valid, or sooner if you ask.
If you never turn notifications on, the app sends nothing about you anywhere. It only reads the league’s scores.
What stays on your phone
A few small settings — which notifications you chose, and the token above. They live on the phone and go when the app is deleted.
The league's own records
The app and the website show what the league keeps about its competition: player names, scores, handicaps and teams. That is the league’s record, published to its members the way results on a noticeboard are — it isn’t gathered from you through the app.
If you play in the league and want something about your own record changed, ask the league directly.
Course videos
A round can have a course flyover, which plays from YouTube. It is embedded through YouTube’s no-cookie host, which serves the same player without setting tracking cookies unless you press play.
Opening the video still asks Google’s servers for it, and they receive that request — including your IP address — as they would in any web browser, under Google’s own privacy policy. Nothing else in the app or the site reaches a third party.
The website
The web server keeps ordinary access logs — IP address, time, and the page asked for — to run and secure the site. League administrators who sign in to the back office get a session cookie so they stay signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Where it is kept
On a server the league rents, in the United States. It is not sold, not shared, and not handed to anyone else except where the law requires it.
Children
This is an adult recreational golf league. The app is not directed at children and nothing is knowingly collected from them.
Changes
If what the app collects ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. The date is the honest way to tell whether you have read the current version.
